Sea Street Pump Station
Rough estimate from Olver Associates puts the replacement at $1.8-2.2 million.
This is on top of sheet pilling work at the dock and any other maintenance. In
2021, the sheet pilling was estimated at $1.5 million. To do complete re-work of
town dock, we're now at around $4 million.
On top of that, 1.6 foot higher high tides by 2030, but should probably assume 3
feet to be safe for a little while.
Might qualify for congressional grants for this. A lot of boxes to check to get
external funding for some of this work. But we need to get design work done.
That pump station is the most critical part of our infrastructure for wastewater.
Dec. 23 storm was 25-30 feet away from even getting to the pump. But that's
without sea level rise.
This project also probably rolls up the sheet pilling work the town was hoping
to get done was well.
