Journal

First day at 15Five, and the day is a gem. After all the heat of the weekend, it

appears we're on the other side. Light breeze and clear blue skies.

I'm a little nervous about the things on the farm that are not going to get done

as well, or at all, now that I'm working. And I don't think starting new work is

carte blanche to have it dominate my schedule. Emma's pretty excited about my

plan to work from 7 to 3 most days. And my European colleagues probably agree :)

Been a good start to the day. Got up to speed with Krystian and a quick overview

of engineering at 15Five. Andrii is my onboarding buddy, and he's really nice.

We talked over the work that admin team is responsible for, and our philosophies

on PRs, optimization and lots of other things.

It's strange to not be watching my email inbox like a hawk anymore. I opened my

phone a minute ago and had the impulse to check email. Then I relaized, I have a

job. I don't need to wait on other people anymore. How fulfilling.
