Nervous about how larger structures in product development might slow down innovation in small teams. Easy to say, if you see something, say/build something, but what if engineers get lulled into sleep by having a strong product vision and end up blind to low-hanging fruit that can have major implications for our customers? Maybe this never happens, but I like to believe that engineers can actually come up with ways to improve flow.
Product managers are not the only people in a company who have ideas to improve things, and I worry that a cocktail of ProdPad + product leads + designers leaves out engineers who may have ideas for product improvement based on what they see in the trenches of the application design.
Simply saying, "empower them to share their ideas" is not quite the same things as giving people, all people, a certain level of autonomy over how they drive value.

Krystian Cybulski: We know we have some problems, this Portfolio plan is an approach to solve those problems
Vicky Irving: Groups of people focused on really specific needs of our customers. Had been approaching it as a features driving customer needs, but rather needs driving the features our teams work on.
Krystian Cybulski: User journeys are everywhere, excited that we get to focus on that. Engineering tech leads said this is great because we'll be more involved in long-term planning. Potential to tie things together over more than a three month time line. Now there will be a portfolio structure where we can get stakeholder input more holistically.
Holly Kennedy: Excited to get feedback from other people and to be able to confidently lean on co-workers as each individually goes deep on specific user journeys.

Talked about all sorts of things. Mac made an interesting point about hiring folks in a startup and using strengths to try to avoid affinity bias. He wondered what a heat matrix of strengths for the whole of 15Five would look like

After finally getting the SCIM setup to work (magically, though our router did get a reboot today so maybe that was it? :shrug:) I am now pretty familiar with the various error messages and it seems that the likely culprit of the support problem was a user who created the SCIM integration in 15Five no longer being at the company. If not that, then at the very least, their bearer token expired and needs to be refreshed.

Started trying to get to the bottom of this one yesterday and discovered my local SCIM setup was hoplessly broken. Oddly, it seems that the tunnels from Okta to my local dev setup are working, but once the Okta request gets to my computer it responds with a 302 redirect and stops. Not sure if this is on Okta or my setup, but it's killing me. I spent way too much time working on it yesterday.
