Journal
Missed org mode completely yesterday. I either need to carve out time to get
things setup, and make sure Emma knows I'm doing it and why, or just admit that
some days I'm not going to to do it.
It's a curious aspect of journaling that I often do not remember the things I
think about all day when it comes to writing things down. Yesterday, on the way
back from Amy Fiorelli's ordination I was thinking about something that I cannot
for the life of me remember now. Something about being a UU and what not.
The kids did a really good job at a relatively boring event yesterday. We ended
up in the annex at the Ellsworth church for the ordination, and while the
service was wonderful, it felt slightly less personal watching it on a screen.
Still, it was a delight to see Amy taking her next steps.
I've got some tasks planned out for today, so hopefully I can be pretty productive.
Finally getting my inbox and projects sorted this morning. The day started out
kind of gray and slow moving, but the fog burned off and it looks like it's
going to be beautiful.
Nabby slept poorly again last night and it led to the kids getting to school
late. My schedule, starting usually around 8 wasn't really disturbed too much.
Thankfully I was able to get to sleep around midnight last night, so even with
Nabby's trouble I still got pretty solid sleep.
Our finances, however, are pretty grim. Emma asked me to reach out to Dad again.
I have my reservations, but I know he's good for it, so I should probably just
ask and know that I'm getting closer on job opportunities.
I'm hoping my Thorn interview on Wednesday with their head of product and ops
manager is a good sign that they want to make an offer. We'll see though. I felt
good about ReCharge as well.

Went out to work in the garden and the wind was really whipping today. It felt
like a changeable day.
