For some reason org-journal really doesn't want to work with Spacemacs anymore. Perhaps this is my opportunity to dig into a layer and figure out how it all gets glued together.
Aside from my immediate stress, today was a pretty good day. Jane got her first hit in softball this evening, though she so surprised herself that she forgot to start running and the slight delay caused her to get thrown out. Nonetheless, another player scored on her hit, so she officially has an RBI.
Emma found out from Hannah this evening that Hannah is not going to be able to make the big family birthday for Silas, Bubba and Sanborn this October. There's a role in a show that's she has accepted that opens the Friday of that birthday weekend. Emma was pretty disappointed, but also knows Hannah, and knows the funny mental places she gets herself. So perhaps this is what Hannah needs. I still don't understand what can drive someone to so dedicate themselves to a craft that both doesn't pay and puts huge demands on your schedule basically being always open. It's sad.
