Tasks
DONE Clean up the kitchen
DONE Fix Bookwyrm VM
Turns out I hadn't upgrade Bookwyrm to py39 and I had to run the command to
upgrade to FreeBSD 13.1 and then re-install all the python requirements.
Once I did that, it came back up just fine.
I also discovered that podgrab had gone down. I need to figure out how to install an uptime service for my homelab.
DONE Call Longfellow back about a shingle order
Called Longfellow Shingles, we're 6-8 months out from 20 sq of knotty select shingles. The price is $225 per square and $190 to stain per square. So staining will double the price ... something to think about.
In any case, we're on their list, and as they get through it they'll give us a call to pick a stain and dimensions.
DONE Call Hammond and order wood for the truck garage

Timeline
- Note taken on
I had an idea today. What if instead of a todo list, I ran mostly out of my
inbox of tasks, choosing what I'll work on and keeping a todone list? The
biggest struggle for me in terms of time management is not planning out my day very well. BUt I am also not a high-paid executive that needs a super tight schedule to get things done. I have kids and engineeirng work that I mostly know what needs to get done
- Note taken on
We got home from our trip to DC yesterday afternoon. The arrival time was pretty nice, as we got home before the sun went down and were able to do a little cleaning and tidying before heading into the Big House for dinner.
I also was able to replace the keyboard on the E560 Thinkpad that I found at the dump. For some reason the keyboard crapped out while it was sitting in the basement. I'm not sure if it was moisture.
Today, I got up around 6 and was able to have a nice time in bed before Emma and I both got up for a run and a walk. It was a really nice way to start the day.
