Journal

Asa was feeling sick when I woke up. He's a funny sick though, because it mostly

manifests as having a short fuse on things and getting sad easily. Otherwise

he's his usual perky self. Unfortunately, Emma also seems to be having a rough

time this morning. I'm not sure if she's going to be able to get the kids up to

an ultrasound appointment in Ellsworth for Nabby.

I wish I could be more help, but this is also the day I scheduled the first mob

refactoring at work. I'm really nervous about how it's going to go down. If we

get a lot of people, it could be pure chaos. I'm also not the most experienced

at refactoring, so my skills could be exposed.

My hope is to find a small part of the codebase that we can talk over and

refactor. I think my preference this morning would be to pull apart a huge utils

file into smaller modules. But I'm not terribly opinionted.

Good news, Emma is feeling better and is headed for Ellsworth. Now I just need

to get through this group refactoring session.
