The question came up again, what is the easiest path to integrating with a partner and it's a task I often struggle with. I love all the things, and love possibilities, but I need to do more dreaming big and then scaling small.

Varying levels of scope and difficult ... Harry and I talked a lot about the call with Holly Kennedy the other day, and how it felt like we were getting pushed back a bit in terms of how ready we were and how much time Holly had to help with design goals.
To that point, however, Harry K made an excellent call out, that rather than give Holly a book to read on what engineering can do and ask her to pick a paragraph, what if we came with a chapter with some highlights already in it. To that end, we had a really nice come-to-Jesus moment where Harry asked me to define the preferred engineering integration scope for this sort of project.
Put to the wall, I said the easiest path was probably to create user provisioning scripts that could run idempotently as a nightly cron job for each company that has an app enabled. Thus, when an integration is first enabled, all of a company's users are provided with accounts in the partner app. At that point, it's up to the company to either depend on email/password login for the partner app, or they could setup SSO via Okta/Azure/GSuite and allow folks to login that way.
Most apps support one of the big four IdPs, and that makes much less work for us trying to coordinate with a partner to setup either 15Five as an IdP or hooking 15Five up to another, minor IdP.
That also means we don't have to worry about messing up any other IdPs a company may have already setup.
I'd love to play a little bit either today or tomorrow with the LearnUpon API some more so I have a tech demo of what an LU integration could look like.

I had a really nice donut call with Adam Kalinski this morning! He lives in the suburbs of Warsaw in a house he had built custom. He also added that I shouldn't do that and that it was a pain in the butt. He's another of my European co-workers who loves the NBA (along with João :smile:) and I should remember that when playoffs come around.
He used to work for a comapny that sent him to the Netherlands a lot, and he and his wife even lived there for a time, along with spending a few years in Barcelona. We got to connect over the fact that his wife lived in Duluth, of all places, for a few years during school as well.

Another late night, but this time it was productive. I actually got the kitchen pretty clean and was able to figure out which test broke my PR for optimizing High Fives. Felt nice to know when I woke up I could merge the PR. And then Grisha Kostyuk gave the confidence to just merge it when it was all done. That felt great.
