Emma Sweet had a rough day yesterday. It turns out she'd been having a rough time of it for sometime now. She apparently talked with Jess some too about just feeling low energy and unmotivated and easily frustrated or angry. She thought what she needed was her own space, but then she felt guilty taking that space. I listened for a bit, but wasn't sure what to say.
I made sure she knew I was there to help, and tried to offer up a few ideas on paths to try to find steadier footing. It's hard to be in a funk. I think the situation of being stuck at home is something we've embraced to a large degree, but the lack of big markee events is taking it's toll on Emma. She generally thinks about the big things on the horizon. The only big thing right now is home schooling the kids, and that's just a giant ball of stress in and of itself.
