Journal

A curious morning. I stayed up late to help Emma get more sleep in bed before

moving to the couch because she and Nabby can't sleep in the same bed. What

ended up happening is me sleeping in until 8. I'm sure I needed the sleep, but

this is not the routine I envisioned when I started working at 15Five. I'd like

to get back to a 10 or 10:30 bedtime. But with dinner's happening late and

Emma's troubles with Nabby, I don't see that happening.

I had a nice call with Zoltan this morning talking over the create API for group

types. He just had some questions about how to go about posting the data and

what the interface will look like. There's a strange mix of old and new tech in

the 15Five stack that is hard to reason about sometimes. Andrii suggested I be

as spartan as possible with building out APIs, including avoiding DRF. But it

seems the most future-proof way to build these things is with a decent

serializer to which things can be added in the future.
