22:06 Sleep
Not getting a ton of sleep lately. But I'm going to try to get to bed in the next twenty minutes and get up early to run. Crazy? Maybe. As I type this, Nabby is upstairs having a devil of a time nursing.
Emma's concerned she's not gaining weight. She's, perhaps, not nursing as much as we'd like, but she is definitely nursing. But that doesn't mean all that much to Emma. She's just tried and stressed out. It doesn't help that Dani's kids have been sick for the past week so we've had to keep pushing off the well-baby visit.
On top of all this, Peter's been having a really rough time. He's taken to smoking pot a lot and came home completely baked last night. Emma and I tried to talk to him without getting too upset, but it's hard to watch someone who just doesn't care, and try to reason with them about why they should.
At a visit to Acadia Hospital today to restart him on some meds, he mentioned to the doctor that he was having suicidal thoughts, but no urges to act on them. He's also been cutting, which he seemed genuinely unsure about why he was doing. Thankfully Peter's more earnest than Sam ever was, so he's easier to help to. After the visit, he came home from school in a pretty good mood, and Emma encouraged us both out the door to get a haircut from Neko da Barber. He really seemed to enjoy getting a hair cut, and that felt good.
I talked to him about seeing his mom soon, and he was excited about that. But when I mentioned the idea to Emma she pointed out that she asked earlier in the year if he wanted to and to get an address, but she never got one. She suspects Nicole may be homeless at the moment, which would certainly make Peter feel like shit.
