Had some issues this evening focusing. But all in all it was a good weekend. While I didn't get everything I was hoping to get done, done, I did get a lot of reading in, spent some quality time with Emma, and enjoyed playing outside in the snow with Jane and Silas.
Playing outside was the biggest coup. I am not always as enthusiastic as I probably should be with the kids and today I had said we could play in the snow after church. Of course, when that came, I also wanted to watch the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. So the kids got bundled up and played outside by themselves for a while. Eventually I got outside, but to ski, which felt selfish, but is also something I've been trying to stay on top of ... when I can't run. Then when I was done with that I had to do animal chores. Finally I was all done and Jane asked me what we were going to do to play ... I looked at her dumbfounded and I said "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Which isn't really fair.
In the end, we made their sledding pile higher and had a of fun on their sliders. I was glad Jane had some idea, and that I was able to find enthusiasm for what Jane and Si wanted.
