Journal

A little overcast today and a lot more cool. Emma was able to actually get a

goat milked this morning, which is hopefully the start of getting back in front

of things on the farm.

We are also slaughtering chickens today, though we didn't get a very early

start. It will be nice to have fewer chickens for a while untli the porch birds

get bigger. We had some mysterious deaths amongst the meat birds yeserday, so

it's probably about time.

Otherwise things are going alright. I am kind of low energy and disappointed

wiht my running this week. But rather than dwell on it, I should probably

embrace it as a nice break and get back to business next week.

I also have a sermon to write for tomorrow, which is a little stressful, though

I'm not too worried. These things often write themselves, and I have all the

pieces figured out for the service.
