00:05 Sick

I've been getting better in a weird sine curve trending upward where some days

and times of day are better than others.

Nonetheless, our neighbors Owen and Brittany Reed have a daughter who was born

with congential heart defect called Simitar Syndrome. The procedure she has to

undergo is dangerous, and broken down into two surgeries. If the first is

succesful, they can wait for the second till she's older and more stable. But if

the first doesn't work, they'll have to perform the second, more invasive

procedure, and her chance of surviving it are not great.

Given that reality, I think I'll take being a little sick and having a healthy

baby girl sleeping on my lap as I write this. Life is fragile and there are no

promises.
