Our Friday walk today was on the Bluff Head trail which is just down from Strong Brewery. Pedrick Sweet invited me to hang out and get a beer at Strongs this afternoon.
The hike was amazing and yielded one of our best finds of chicken of the woods mushrooms yet. I found them at a sharp turn in the trail where everyone else had stopped to investigate some boletes. Looking around a spotted a huge outcrop of orange against a dead hardwood tree. Turned out it was probably 5-10 pounds of chicken of the woods.
