Another hard day for some reason.

- Note taken on

It's really cold outside today. Really cold. When I checked the weather station in the morning it was below 10 and has only crept up a little since then. I've been meditating on going out for a run, but I don't know if it's worth it. On the plus side, while I would usually be worried about daylight, with DST taking effect the sun now doesn't set till after 6. Little wins, I suppose.

I also spent some time today coming up with a battle plan for the ZFS pool on Rhea. The trick is that I added a new drive and it has nothing but issues. I thought it was a faulty drive at first, but upon closer inspection, I think it's the fact that I tried to just expand the zpool. That's not supposed to work and the performance fell off a cliff in the pool as a result. I think I need to approach this from a slightly different angle.

Yesterday was Daylight Saving Time, sigh. I feel like I'm jet-lagged this week and I haven't gone anywhere. I woke up just in time for my stand up with Andrii despite my best efforts to sleep in.

Aside from that it was a good weekend. Jane made a banana cream pie and I made an ice cream pie to celebrate Pi Day and gave the kids a late night math lesson on how to find the area of things when you don't have all the information. Jane also memorized pi to 35 (?!) places :slight-smile: I managed 6. Silas did 13, which was impressive in it's own right.

I'm back to trying a stand up desk today as well.
