- Note taken on

This was the first time in a while that I honestly completed all the tasks on my daypage. I probably don't need to celebrate, but it's neat to see the org-roam style actually work with me. Next step is to plan my next day in advance and go to bed at a reasonable hour.

- Note taken on

It's cold in the basement. I did the animal chores and then came back downstairs for some quick win work. The work got done, but I'm still in a t-shirt and now I'm freezing. This will feel nice in August, I'm sure.

- Note taken on

I'm feeling much more energetic today than yesterday. I'm not sure what accounts for that. Emma and I started the day on a high note until Nabby started knocking on the door.

I also was able to coordinate some nice work with Jruss and the rest of Admin Squad. That was a nice win, and I have some really obvious next steps to get work done.

Checked in with Harry and Andrii this morning and they suggested hitting up John Russell with excatly what the AEs need here.

After talking with Jruss it was clear that no logic should change, but rather companies that have 50 users allowed are almost all Free Trial clients and should have their max users dropped to 0, allowing as many as they want and unlocking the Billing page.

I still need to verify locally that dropping them to zero will achieve the goal, and if that's successful, create a one-off so anyone can run the fix in production.

Fed the chickens and the all got out via a loose pole near the barn. I got the goats out on the same backyard pasture. I will need to move the fence tomorrow.

When I moved the tractor I discovered two of the egg chicks were smoothered in the night. Not sure if it was too cold if there were any underlying issues. I know one of the two, a white one, had been looking slow and unhealthy the day before. The other was a light gray, fluffy one and it seemed fine, so I'm not sure.

Discovered there was already a way to decorate a submit button like a link. It was even in the same template I need to modify for this! So I didn't need a JS hack. I'm feeling really good to get this fix done so quickly. The story was originally marked as a spike, but the solution was just right there, so I went ahead and opened a PR.

Took a quick dive into this one before my run today. What I learned:

1. You can add fields to a user profile here:

https://15fivesandbox.bamboohr.com/employees/employee.php?id=40434&page=2053

2. Custom fields in BambooHR require an "Advantage" plan

https://help.bamboohr.com/hc/en-us/articles/216836137-What-Custom-Fields-and-Tables-are-Available-

3. Our sandbox account is not an Advantage plan

Given all that, I've reached out to Harry K to see what he thinks about getting us upgraded.

I ended up doing the square with 2 miles easy to start and one mile cool down. My VO2Max actually managed to go down slightly with this run. Though I think that's to be expected with speed work. It was a nice tempo in any case. I hit the Castine Road hill past Dunc's Meadow at an 8:30 pace and sustained it for most of the uphill.

One thing I noticed on this run is that for speed work or performance runs I should probably leave the music and phone at home. It's really hard to get a cadence in your head when you're listening to music. Perhaps I can start with music and then take it out as I get warmed up?
