Journal

I got to bed nice and early last night after mostly falling asleep on the couch

before 2200. And yet, I slept past 600, with Nabby fitfully sleeping next to me.

I remembered my dream due to waking up and then going back to sleep. I was

trying to managed a wolf in the house that Amanda Provencher was helping me

domesticate. It was pretty strange.

I have also come up with a more reliable way to managed reminders and org mode.

The command `org-clone-subtree-with-time-shift` works really well to generate

recurring events without the need to manually enter them. We will see how long

this technique lasts.

---

I spent this afternoon and evening really low. The motivating factors were not

having time to go for a run, and Emma asking me to make sure the animal chores

got done when I got back from soccer. I am being petty, but I honestly don't

know what Emma spends her days doing. I had a long day of work and meeitng,

managed to sneak in getting some clean up in and got to soccer in good time. And

she apparently spent the entire day making two pies and roasting ribs from the

freezer? I have half a mind to volunteer to make dinner tomorrow with soccer and

getting a run to demonstrate how such things work. But I'm being an asshole now.

Soccer went really well though. We spent the first half of our time doing a

diamond drill like we do in ultimate. The one problem is that some of the kids

don't have the same skills as others. We also had a really fun time doing a

quarter field scrimmage with alternating offense and defense. I'm not sure, with

10 total players, we're ever going to have time to do full scrimmages. I'm going

to have to get creative.
