After a low-key and unproductive day at work, dinner was a bit of a fiasco
too. Emma picked up whole snapper on sale and had visions of doing the
artichoke from Trader Joe's and the snapper in a fancy dinner thing. Well, the
artichoke took forever to cook and Jane and Jess don't like fish much. So it
left the rest of us to enjoy four fish (not enough) and wait till forever to
eat the artichoke.
On the flip side, no one is going to bed hungry, moral improved tremendously
once we had the artchoke out of the oven, and they were really really good in
the end too.
An important lesson in not losing your shit when things go sideways.

Today was a very unproductive day for work. I had the boys hanging out for much of the day, so after finishing my morning meetings, we went outside to inoculate some turned up ground with morel mushrooms. After that I spent some time reconfiguring my desk to be more of a working desk. I've done this before, so we'll see how long it lasts, but the biggest hurdle right now is having a webcam where I'm standing. I setup the Canon 40D to be a webcam, but it sucks through battery like that, so I either need to get an AC adapter or turn it on and off frequently.

Emma managed to slowly rouse me out of bed before 7 today. It was nice being
up, but man I really didn't want to get up.
