A long day of work outside! Emma and I ran up to Buckport to pickup dishwasher
soap and coffee 😃. Jess watched the kids so we could just run up together
almost like a mini date night! It was surprisingly fun to not have the kids in
the car.
Besides that, we got corn and rutabagas planted and everything got watered.
The weather continued to be strange. This spring instead of just rain, we get
squall lines that roll through with a bunch of wind and a little rain. We
haven't had a decent soaking rain in almost a month.
For dinner, Emma made a smoked chicken soup, which was delicious. She also
roped me into making churros again. I made them a few nights ago, and it turns

Harder to wake up this morning than yesterday but Emma still helped me get out
of bed around 06:45 after waking up around 06:15. More than sleeply I was
muscle sore from the day before. Running in the afternoon may have been a
mistake.
Still, I managed to get Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls done for the kids by
09:30, which is some sort of record for me. I also got all the chicks done
well, pigs and chickens fed and the storm window taken off the kitchen sink
window. I need to make a plan for the rest of my day.
