Timeline

- Note taken on

The Collaborative Ministry Team meeting today was interesting. After missing

last month's meeting, I completely bailed on prepping for this month's

meeting, which led me to be pretty disengaged going into it. The crux of the

meeting also turned out to be about where we go from here. While a number of

folks pushed back on the idea of finishing up the CMT completely, everyone

seemed on board with slowing down our cadence.

The agremeent was to take the summer off of meeting and to regroup in

September, hopefully with everyone together, and then see how we're doing.

To be perfectly honest, I'm kind of relieved. The Covid-19 restrictions have

made it really hard to stay on top of the sorts of activities we used to do.

- Note taken on

Emma Sweet was really upset with me this morning for not doing a good job

cleaning the kitchen and generally tidying things up. I think I probably could

have limped along doing a shitty job for longer except that I messed up

putting compost in the right bowls yesterday and we had an argument about how

much trouble I have with doing compost right. I wish we had a system that

required less judgement, but I don't know if that's possible.

In any case, between that and asking if we could get the kids in bed earlier,

I have made a number of big mistakes in advocating for myself without thinking

about how it affects Emma Sweet. I also think she wants more time to

herself than she's currently getting.

I'm not totally sure what's going on, but I know that I haven't put as much

attention into our relationship and Emma Sweet herself as I could be lately.

Birthdays and Mother's Day passed without much fanfare, and while she says

it's okay, I know I can do better. Then, of course, there are the little

things like making sure the house is clean.
