Journal

I went to bed too late last night which led to me being absolutely exhausted

this morning. The kids also missed the bus because Denny came 5 minutes early,

and then it took us forever to get out the door so we only barely made the

first-day ceremony at the school. It didn't help that the ceremony itself took

like 5 minutes.

We then had a great time catching up with parents. The total population of the

school is apparently at 50 wit the addition of some new kids at the last minute.

Pretty neat. I hope the kids have a good day. Si having all day school is gonna

be a life changer.

My coffee call with Christine was great. For some reason I thought she was in

California, but it turns out she's outside Columbus, OH. We were able to connect

over the joy of running. She has an 8.5 year old boy and is talking about

merging families with her current boyfriend who has 3 kids. The oldest is 17,

which would be a big change for her kids.

Our engineering meeting was also a big overview of how Portugal is going to

work. We're staying in a surf town in apartments right on the ocean. I'm pretty exited.

Moved the sheep to the backyard near the clothes line. I felt pretty clever when

I was able to quickly wrap the old fenced area back on itself and get animals

out quickly. I then came back with the second fence and made the enclosure more

than twice the size.
