Tony has been gone for a week at Elation now, and our experiment in self-governance of a pod is floundering a bit. I am trying to be easier on myself and my co-workers due to the extreme circumstances, but it's not hard to slip into negative thoughts when you look at the tickets for our current sprint and struggle to see the logic behind them.
Right now we have a ton of user stories, and handful of bugs and a few stories left over from previous sprints. The user stories are hard because they often contain composite ideas. And the non-user stories are equally tricky because they don't always have obvious outcomes.
I think I need to break out some paper this weekend and sketch out the basic flow for the new care gap importer, and the flow for improving the efficiency and then attack the tickets from the perspective of what needs to happen. Once we have the tickets in good shape, let Ness review them per her design and let me know what works or doesn't work.
The trick here, is that the entire time Louis and Ed need things to be working on to. I'm not convinced this experiment is going to work out.
