A thunderstorm moved just north of us this morning. I slept in and was able to hear rolling thunder right before a decent downpour started around 8. It was the rain we needed, but I'm not sure it will be enough. After doing morning cleaning and the dump run, the clouds are clearing off to a beautiful day, but likely no more thunderstorms.
Thankfully this is not an emergency drought, and we have a decent well to weather it. But it does mean we'll probably be back to every-day waterings next week.

I ended up planting two rows in the bush bean bed closest to the barn. The Ireland Creek beans were the next two going away from the barn. I also planted a short row of Tigers Eye in front of the stable with the summer squash. There's a little row of Cannelini between the pumpkins too.

An easy run that took me out of town around the square. My heart rate when a little higher than I would have expected in the first mile, but eventually I endeavored to just ride it and see what I could take. That kept my heart a little lower for more of the run and not so distracted by numbers.
I ended up finishing with a tempo on the last mile as it started spitting rain and I wasn't sure how hard it would get. It never did really start raining, but it felt nice to get a little speed in.
