our attention span to threads.
The fabric is torn but still warm

our web, spun through electrons,
ingenuity, intelligence and
our worst vices, all of us thinking

Co-workers and cultures shared
across a distance vast enough
to make conquistador's blush
as we crush culture and re-invent kings
Dealmakers, instagramers youtubers,
beatmakers, positive psychology pushers,
anniversary artwork crafters, connected
by a vast and incomprehensible fabric.
Wires and silicon moving us, rick-rolling us
boosting us, transforming us,
into something our ancestors
could hardly recognize,
And yet, do we think they didn't?
Doom scrolling seed catalogs,
Gossiping on front porches
making people feel worse.
Our worst vices have been
with us across all the oceans
of water and wire and the
Silly he said-she-saids are eternal.
We are all works in progress
and this web is new but unoriginal
built from the best and the worst of us
Google is not wrong, or right.
This is us, being and becoming
the best of ourselves with each
spin around the sun, ripe
with potential for the human race.

The stately elm, oak and ash.

The Partnership update today was 🔥 Kapil and Bradon gave the squad an update
on the partnership vision and potential for 15Five and I couldn't be more
excited about our potential right now. The trick is trying to figure out how
to build things out that work simply while being extnensible to this future.

Been getting up earlier than usual lately and it feels good. Usually
Nabby is the first one up and she hangs out with Emma and I for a
little while as I make coffee and get the woodstove going for Birtch Sap.
I completely blew off planning today's CMT meeting and feel pretty
neutral about it. I expected to feel bad, but I've got a lot on my plate and
have tried to back out of organizing CMT meetings for a while now but no one
else wants to do it. So here we are.
