I got a run in this afternoon for the first time in a few days. The start was
nice, but I was struggling by the end for reasons that were not clear.
Emma and I decided together on three of each type of fencing for almost $1000.
That's pretty much what we need for turkeys, ducks and pigs this year. Also,
Jane wants to raise Bantam Chickens this year, and Emma felt she needed a
separate fence to keep them in the circle of the driveway. We'll see how that
project goes. Kids interests are fleeting things.

My morning was booked solid with meetings. They were good meetings, but it's
hard to feel productive when you get a solid 90 minutes split up for actual
development work. I also continue to feel a weight to get some [[id:cb7cae00-0f38-4b56-aa5c-d35ca0ea4717][Security
Working Group]] work done before I meet with Piotr tomorrow.
I also spent most of the morning being really cold. After the meeting block I
went upstairs and realized there was wood to split! So I split probably a
third of the wood Bubba and I cut at the golf club on Sunday. That felt pretty
good. Now I'm not cold at least :laugh:
When I got in Emma and pulled up the cost for the fencing she wants to
purchase. It came to $1,200 and I kinda took a step back and tried to figure
out how we could avoid that. We are pretty financially stable right now, but I
feel like decisions made quickly like that when we're feeling flush is how we
get in trouble. We have a ton of other projects we want to get done and Emma's
responding to messages on the Premier1 website about backording by freaking
out and wanting to order it right now. That sort of impulsiveness is dangerous
when we both give in to it. But it's also hard to hold the line. The ask is
reasonable enough. We will use the fence. It's just a lot of money.
