Spent the last few days tuning my spacemacs setup, and I am really happy with how my use of org-mode has improved. Other integrations, like slack, magit and terminals have improved as well. But the org mode thing was something I'd avoided for a long time. It has come, unfortunately, at the expense of getting other things done. But I've always felt that improvements to productivity pay off dividends in the future. I actually think that analogy is underused these days. Something that pays dividends is delightful and should always be sought, when possible.
Outside work, today was Silas' first day at Wendy Lou's day care. Emma said drop off went great, and he was super excited to have new people to talk to. I think having him in a few new social circles will really help him when he starts school next year. He's so talky :)
Otherwise things are going fine. My new training journal (kept in org mode!) is a bit depressing when the weather conspires against you. Not sure I'll get a long run in tomorrow, but I need to be okay with that.
