Nabby's had a crouppy cough for a few days. It's worst when she's been laying
down for a while. So it means Emma and I have been taking turns staying up with
her at night. Because I'm a selfish jerk, I imagine that my plight is worse than
Emma's. It is, of course. I brought Nabby to bed last night at 1:30 and Emma
took over until about 5 a.m. ... at which point she woke me up and I took over
getting the kids ready for bed and holding Nabby while Emma went back to sleep.
So Emma ended up getting the better part of 8 hours of sleep between the three I
had her before I came to bed, and the sleep after 5 (she slept till 10).
Meanwhile, I got about 4.5 hours of sleep total. Fuck me.
And now we're back in it. It's 3 a.m. and I'm up with a baby making sure she
doesn't sleep on her back and get croupy. Emma said just bring her up around 4
or 5 and she'll spell me. Which means I 'll be getting up at 8 or 9 like usual
and again only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep.
Oh well.
On a positive note, Doctor on Demand got back to me today to organize a
technical interview. I was feeling pretty bad that so many folks hadn't gotten
back to me. Now I've got two interviews, so here's hoping.
