Emma was in a bit of a foul mood this afternoon. I think most of it was being tired. She lay down for a short rest and woke up in a much better mood. Incidentally, as her mood improved, mine fell off a cliff. After dinner there was almost nothing the kids did that didn't drive me crazy. It wasn't their fault, and I felt bed, but my temper was really short.
Silas Sewell was asking a million questions as he is wont to do, while Asa Sewell was driving Nabby crazy even as Nabby was very clearly exhausted and sleepy.

I found out last night via Slack that 15Five is giving folks the day off today for Juneteenth, a holiday to mark the end of slavery. So now I get to re-tool my day to accommodate garden and house work!

It was an exceptionally hot day. Thankfully I waited until late afternoon to run so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I am still finding myself drifting into Zone 3 heart rate running. Not sure what to do about that as the weather gets warmer. I can slow down but then my VO_{2}Max will end up fading. Perhaps that's worth it though.
