Been an interesting few days with my dad. Sometimes I'm amazed at how much I don't even miss a beat with him. He's still thinking of the same things, still wants to dive in on the same things. But I'm learning. I'm learning to listen a lot more and not wait for my time to talk. This has the benefit of me actually hearing what he's saying, but also giving him so much space that he sometimes runs out of enthusiasm for what he's been saying and we can talk about other things, which is nice.
Work's been more stressful this week, and there are some things that sort of have to get done, so my time is more scarce. Which stinks because the first thing to go has been running, which would normally help to de-stress me.
It has, however, been a funny week with everyone in various states of illness and my dad being here.
