Journal
A strange day, all things considered. It started out chilly and overcast, with
some spitting rain. I woke up and made some English muffins I had started the
night before. Then, realizing there wasn't going to be much being done outside,
I proposed we head down to Belfast, selfishly, so I could grab Quacks of
Quidlenberg at the game store, and also drop off muffins with my mom.
It was a nice change of pace for the kiddos to go hang out at Baba's, and we got
to do some errands around town. Still, probably didn't need to happen, and it
turned out I only had $13 left on my birthday gift certificate, so the game
ended up costing us a decent amount of money.
That made me feel bad, and was compounded when I didn't get an offer from Thorn,
indeed, got notice about any such offer to Wednesday. It's starting to get
ridiculous. Emma also pointed out that we are running low on funds again, and I
asked mom for help with the mortgage and she hemmed and hawed a lot. I'm really
hoping we don't end up need her help, but it kinda looks unavoidable even in a
best case scenario.
Gotta keep my head up.
