Still getting back to work as usual after a weekend at Baxter State Park. Reflecting on things a little bit as I posted to Slack this morning and all I want is to go back. Stories about people trying to go back to "normal" life after spending time doing something extraordinary now make a lot of sense. My urge is not so strong, but I am having trouble focusing today thinking about all the paths left untrod and all the time I have to maximize now that just sort of slipped past while we talked or sat silent on a mountain this weekend. It's not easy putting it away.
Not sure if it's related, but I had a genuine nightmare last night where there was a book that if you read from it things were put in motion that felt like could not be stopped. I can barely remember the details, but the fear was so raw that I had a some moments in the dream imagining that this was how you slip into insanity -- fearing something that no one else can see or understand.
