Journal

- Note taken on I feel as though I'm kind of getting a

handle on my digital life since I broke my ankle and the trip to France.

Curiously, I had let a lot of things rot. I wasn't using Emacs as often and my

task management was pretty helter skelter. The combination of Orgzly being

reborn as Orgzly Revived, means that syncing of tasks is working again.

But totally apart from Org-mode, I've also cleaned up the way my CI pipeline

works between Gogs and Drone CI so I get auto deploys back, which makes

working on my various side projects fun again.

- Note taken on Today feels like one of those days. Emma

and the kids are off to volunteer filling sandbags in town for a storm that is

probably not nearly as bad as the one we got on Wednesday, which makes the

effort feel a bit to little too late. But only time will tell there, so it's

hard to dump too much pessimism on it.

In the meantime, Sarah asked me to come down and help her clean up her shed,

which blew over in the last storm. So I'm trying to fit that into our schedule

today and it's not super obvious how best to help either. She's being all

cagey about how her apartment's a mess, but the shed needs to get cleaned up.

We'll see what happens when we're down there. I wish there was some way to

help folks who are nervous about perceptions to know that they wont judge (or

at least that judgement can't really be avoided, and you have to own your

decisions)
