Talk about inviting board chairs once a quarter?

+ Planning Board has zoning changes to review before town meeting this year

+ Possibly setup a subcommittee

+ Preferred way of working would be comp plan result leads to zoning changes

+ Elm Tree reports

+ Historic preservation reports

+ Utility committtee reports

+ Library board?

- Where does library board role end and town begin

- Could invite the board to a work session

+ Comp plan committee could report

- Will they have another community meeting?

- Two more silos, one is housing and transportation and economy

- Last is fiscal infrastructure, rec

Historic properties committee

+ Need to decide size and who should be on it

+ Working group

+ Start re-working contract with State, legislative not bureaucratic

Committee structure

+ Issues of volunteer members not understanding where authority comes from

+ If a committee chair approaches a board member about an issue, do they get sent to Shawn

Housing meeting

+ Reserve accounts for private/public funding opportunities

+ Much like fire dept apparatus account

+ Does put on the radar for the community that we think are important

+ Deer Isle is doing a public funded housing project, all donation

+ Raised $1.5 million

+ Should have an overlay with high density growth area

+ State has given us a lot of you will ... we will accept tiny homes, ADU or principal

+ Tiny homes lane has room for several more houses

+ Summer employees able to use tiny home rentals

+ We could write zoning to be acceptable of tiny home zoning

+ Ways to deal with seasonal workers

+ Possible to make your house into boarding houses for seasonal workers

+ Concerns about fire standards, think the house on the corner of Court and Main complies

+ Have to shore up our language on rentals, long vs. short term

Bastille Day

+ Karen Koos can probably do something about getting more info to town before the event

+ Should invite her to a Select board meeting

+ Should we slide Bastille Day into our Rec Committee

Shawn's update

+ Clinic is planning to take upper rooms and convert to apartments

- Contract zoning, or change to zoning

+ Captain's Catch lease has one person interested

- Same location

- Current tenant moved everything out of the building and did not inform us that they were not re-upping th lease

- Need someone on the hook to re-open the Captain's Catch

+ Library initiative to develop a story trail

- Working with Deborah Orado to figure out where they'd go

- Need location nailed down before grant writing

+ Community resilience partnership

- If insulation bid comes in low we can

+ Snow plow contract, need to get RFP out

- $9,500 per storm on currect contract

- If contract comes back the they're cost prohibitive, do we need to do plowing ourselves
