Had a curious day where I actually got some 15five work done, despite it being a
Saturday. I also went to step outside to see what the weather was like for a run
and discovered Jess going at it with the porch floor and an oscillating tool.
I ended up working on tearing up the carpet while she cut away the padding
underneath. We both worked to clear all the crap of the porch as well. It turned
out to be a delightful project. Jess has some idea about putting a super cheap
flooring down, which would leave the roof as the one big outstanding thing to fix.
Covid-19 continues it's march through the US. We're on a pretty tight quarantine
here knowing that if Nabby gets any sort of respiratory illness at this point
she's screwed. That has made things a little weird around here. I have
generally been more willing than Emma to go out to meetings and such, but she
wants a full lock down.
No matter what happens I still have to sign warrants and chair selectboard
meetings, but everything else is pretty easy to do from home. Margaret is still
planning on holding church tomorrow which seems like a mistake to me.
Exponential growth of this virus is really difficult to get your head around,
and the fact that the US has been so bad at testing for it, makes the "known"
cases only marginally useful. There's likely to be a lot more cases than they
know about now.
