Breathe in the language of love, for it is in the air.

Eat up the language of love, for it is in our food.

Remember the language of love, for it has always been there.

Forget the language of love, for it will always come back.

Hold the language of love, for it is yours, always.

Release the language of love, for it belongs to all things.

Journal

It's yet another gray, wet day outside. After the early start to winter, the

rest of November seems content to only be slightly below average in temperature

but damn wet. I'm not sure when our next snow is, but I hope it's over the

Thanksgiving weekend.

I got a nice night's sleep last night. Amazing the difference that makes in

general outlook. I also started a practice of drinking a small glass of sea salt

water in the morning to kick start nutrient absorption. I'm not sure if it's

doing anything yet because there are so many other variables.

---

I took Silas to Cub Scouts this evening. The first time Emma asked me to take

him I was loathe to do it. But this time I endeavored to keep a positive

attitude about it. When we got there, it turned out there was a pack meeting

about to start. Three level 2 Weeblos were bridging into Boy Scouts, including

Luke C. The whole evening was a lot of fun, and Silas even got some dinner and

cake afterwards. We talked on the ride home about what a bridging ceremony was,

and Silas really did seem to listen.

I need to do some more research about the nature of Scouts. On the one hand, I'm

still really suspicious about a lot of the crap around it, including a lot of

the pro-USA stuff. But beyond that, I can't argue with the work of trying to

encourage kids to grow up with a sense of responsibility for something greater

than themselves. I think our kids would be okay without that, but I can see how

having badges to earn for doing certain things could be a really positive for

Silas. We'll see how far he goes, but I could get used to den meetings and such.
