Such a precious commodity. I can't believe how fast the days go these days, and it always seems like there's something else to do or somewhere to go. Yesterday was taken up with an IEP meeting for Peter, which turned out to be fantastic and very affirming, and less of a drain than It though it was going to be. Peter is on track to be on the honor roll this year, and while there are still things to work on, the team at GSA seems to think his IEP can be dramatically revamped this year to reflect where he is there compared with the Adams School.
Personally, I think a big part of last year was the pressure cooker effect with the same kids for six years. I had the same experience and high school gave me a reboot on the social front that made school easier to deal with. Between that and simply being older and in a new environment where we're trying again to be supportive (and the absence of Sam as well), I think is helping him be more successful.
