We've had a run of absolutely beautiful days the last three days. I suspect

it's going to have to get colder soon, but for now it's a pleasure to be

outside.

Things are generally going well, though I do feel like I'm putting my foot in

my mouth more often around Emma. Nothing that makes me feel terrible, but just

little barbs with things like her asking to go "just a little further" on our

morning walks, when I very specifically choose to not make them big long

events so that I can do them every morning. I mentioned that she tends to take

a simple event and make it longer or more elaborate up until it stops being

something you can do easily and then we stop doing it. As one can imagine, she

took it pretty personally.
