Going to try to go to bed "earlier" than usual. I got a nice long run in today, but besides washing dishes don't really have anything to do tonight.
Everything has kinda been trucking along lately. Jane, Silas Sewell and Johanna went up to Baxter State Park two weeks ago and had a really good time. There were some funny moments with Emma's mom, but mostly it was harmless.
I may have encouraged Nammy to try for a hike on the first day that she wasn't totally prepared for. She was thinking of doing a nice flat pond hike the first day and I opted for Sentinel Mountain which turned out to be a solid 750 feet of vertical gain over a 3 mile trail. We survived, but barely.
We took the next day easy and went up to the north gate and dropped down on the South Branch Falls trail to have a picnic lunch. That was cool, and Jane and I had a nice time hanging out right next to the end of the falls.
The last day we were up there we got up super early to make the parking permit for Chimney Pond. It took us /forever/ to get up there and back, but it was amazing. Really, it all makes me want to go summit with Jane one of these days. I think she can do it, if only by not overthinking it from the start.

Figured out how to shell beans faster. I put them in a burlap sack and walked on them. The kids helped, and when it came time to sort the, I promised them video game time for work and we got it all done. Kind of amazing to have the beans from last year done, and to not dread doing this year's beans.
