Last night was crazy. In fact, the past few days have been crazy. Hannah's been
home, so Emma's kind of going full bore trying to do all the things. As a
result, we had the Castine Christmas concert last night, which was quite
enjoyable. Then, when it was done a little after 8 we went back to the Big House
to finish making the stewed lamb shanks with polenta and mashed potatoes. So
that didn't get on the table until about 9:30. At about 10:15 we finished dinner
and THEN it was time for presents with Hannah and Zack. Oof!
The kids were in bed by 11 and, amazingly, didn't really melt down too bad. I'm
still trying to get caught up on sleep. But we have two more nights of things
until we leave for Fredericton and I also have ME200 tasks to finish and
mortgage information to upload. So here's hoping we can make it all work.
The one blessing in all this activity is that work has been decidedly low key.
Andrii is in Bangkok and on FTO until tomorrow. So the stresses of work have
been able to be snugged around all this craziness like internal organs.
