- Retreat

- Had a great time

- Loved Krystian's commitment to personal time over work time, get to know

each other

- I feel like I know folks much better now

- Group type work progress

- We could be moving faster if back and front were building at close to the same time

- Lag in frontend work makes backend having to "guess" or coordinate with

frontend before the work is actually being done

- I was reluctant to mix JSON responses with redirects to HTTP responses

- Turns out that might have been most expedient

- Struggles

- I think implementing something that I came into late on is the biggest thing

- I have a clear idea of group type work, but I would have liked to have been

working on group types since their inception

- Excited to work on projects from the start, like perms and custom attributes

- Would like to either work more closely with front-end, or try to establish

standards around how internal API flow works, so we're not building custom

flow for each edge case

- REST is not perfect, but it creates mutal expectations that can then be optimized

- RPC without internal standards leads to this group type conflict flow ..

Journal

I slept on the couch with Nabby yesterday. It might not have been totally

necessary. She settled after a little while on the couch, but I didn't want to

chance her waking up again. So I just lay down on the couch and fell asleep and

woke up around 6 with the first light.

So I started the day out kind of slow. But Evgeiny got back to me about an issue

he re-opened that apparently was resolved, but celery was running slow. That was

a nice little win.

Now I have a one-on-one with Andrii this morning and I'm a little nervous for

some reason. I think I've been embarassed how slow the group type work is going.
