Journal
It was a long night with Nabby last night. She was really, really unhappy for a
good chunk of the night. I only got her to calm down when I stopped trying to
make her sleep, got some cookies from upstairs and sat down to eat and mess with
syncthing to see if I could finally fix it.
She was happy then, and we sat for about two hours while Emma slept.
Today looks like it's gonna be beautiful. Emma's leavning with Jess to take Eli
to Keene State, and the kids are going to Nammy and Bubba's, so things should be
pretty easy today. This evening and tomorrow, less so, but we'll take it a day
at a time.

Got a call this evening while I was reading to the kids at bedtime from the
Bucksport Police. I wasn't sure how to handle it so I texted Emma. She
volunteered to follow up and make sure that unless something was really urgent I
wouldn't have to get too involved given that I have all the kids.
Jess called me back while I was doing dishes and said that Peter had apparently
hurt himself pretty badly and volunteered to head up to Eastern Maine Medical.
He's there now, but apparently not actually signed in, because no one there knew
him as a patient. So Jess was going to call back later.
