Woke up with something in my throut and it seems unmistakably to be a cold. Nonetheless I went swimming and struggled through 1200 yards. Nice to get back to it, but I'll have some rebuilding to do. I also doubled down on taking better care of myself, as I got entry into the Sugarloaf Marathon today. So it's protein smoothies with chia and hempseed, and getting plenty of sleep now. I need to start actually training, despite my hip issues.
I am frequently caught off guard by how adorable I find Asa at this age. Which is funny, because he's kind of an asshole about things, but I suppose all two year olds are. When I got back from swimming he ran up for a serious snuggle, and then did the same thing when I got back from my office hours at town hall. And all I wanted to do was snuggle him, so it worked out well.
