I got a little distracted today after discovering that the Gusto Partnership is limited for 15Five users on the basic plan. Effectively they can't create 15Five Project: Public API keys, because that's seen as a plus feature. This is all silly of course and the best thing would be if we didn't use the generic API keys for these integrations but instead allowed users to add the "Gusto" app to 15Five and then get an API key just for that integration that could get pasted into Gusto. So of course, I had to go start mocking out what that model would look like. I think rather than get distracted like this, maybe I should put it forward to partnership to see if we can start desiging a building something like this.

Was able to help someone with a SAML issue at Agilicus today. Kyle had emailed last week (or maybe even the week before) and helping him out had been weighing on me. The resolution turned out to be more benign that I had thought. It seems that the company has SCIM installed, and so while trying to get around a generic EIMS error which was a hint to the SAML/SCIM conflict, he ended up with a bunch of errors related to a bad email address.

Was able to solve a SAML error issue with Agilicus pretty quickly today. We didn't have very good error logging before last week, and with better coverage I was able to quickly find the error that was causing users not to be signed in. Nice win.
A lot of folks on slack have been congratulating me for going over 100 High Fives for the month. Interestingly, it's a rolling count, and I had actually already crested 100 after the retreat. But I suppose it's nice to see that I'm sustaining that effort. Also, it's hard to not make it a game, but I really am just trying to show my appreciation for folks as often as I can. I find it helps me better a more engaged employee and to not get stuck in my own head too much.
It's also still brutally icy outside and Emma has declared that we are not going on a walk today. That makes sense. I also have the week off work next week and the temperature is supposed to go up, so hopefully we have a chance to get outside a lot.

Started today with a snuggly Nabby in bed before finally getting up a little after 8 to make some coffee. I slipped downstairs for my Weekly Review with Andrii. We talked a little about work, but also a bit about what I"m doing over the vacation next week. Board games and maple tree tapping!
Andrii got to talking about food in Ukraine and reminded me that Kvass can be flavored with birch sap. Now I'm kind of excited to try making kvass this year and put birch sap in it.
