Today was a really nice day. I felt a little unorganized about how exactly Emma Sweet and I would approach our 13th wedding anniversary. But when it occurred to me that we should get sandwiches from Markel's and hike Blue Hill, I just proposed that to Emma and she said it sounded great. I often think Emma doesn't really mind what we do, but doesn't want to have narrow down the decision herself. Both things she had proposed as options, but she didn't want to pull the trigger.

As we left the car for the hike, we started talking about getting lobster from the Wardell's. Going past on the Dunbar road, Emma noted their number and we called from the trail. We picked up some things from the grocery store on the way home and had a great chat with Heather at Quill's End Farm about bucks for the coming season before picking up the dozen lobsters and running home to boil them up.

The lobsters were huge. Huge. The biggest one must have been 2.5 lbs. We invited Emma's parents (who had been watching the kids) and Mom and Sarah to join us and had quite the party to celebrate, not just our anniversary, but also the fact that my salary was re-instated for the coming pay period, thanks to 15Five meeting our revenue goal. Quite the day.
