Looking over things, I think the XPS 13 is out given shitty power/heat specs and

the fact that their newtorking chip is terrible in linux. The T490/490s doesn't

have expandable memory anymore, which is a bummer. Though I haven't changed the

amount of memory in my T440s. That leads me to a $2800 X1 Extreme. I don't

think I would have thought of this, but it's a configured with 64G of memory and

a fast i8 CPU. There's even a discrete graphics card, though it is nVidia, which

is terrible Linux. I suppose I could not use it in linux and simply dual boot

into Windows for gaming. That would require a larger SSD though.

Started today late after sleeping in a bit, but it was likely worth it. After

reading about sleep, it's probably a good idea to get as much sleep as I can,

especially with Nabby having bad nights here and there.

Today was a perfect day but for the mosquitos. I had to run up to Ellsworth in

the morning to pickup cash from Dad to help out with bills. When I got back I

finally finished the pole bean trellises and got the last part of the bush beans

cleared. Emma planted the pole beans, and tomorrow we'll hopefully have time

after church to plant the bush beans.

That leaves potatoes later in the summer, tomatoes and squash to get in the

ground, and then a whole bunch of cultivation.

On the work front, I have my onsite with PathAI on Tuesday, and then an

engineering interview with 15Five on Thursday morning. I'm a little nervous

about the next steps there, as I'm not sure how much I fit in with his methods.

In fact, I'm nervous about all my opportunities right now. It seems like

everything is good until I actually have to code something for someone, then

everything kind of falls apart. I suppose I already did the engineering test for

PathAI. But I'm nervous about whether I did well enough with Datadog to continue

the application process. And Thorn hasn't gotten back to me since I talked with

Travis and Rachel on Wednesday. All I can do is wait, and possibly look for

other opportunities.
