Add support for PATCH or confirm with Microsoft that you already support it

Microsoft

Perform compatibility testing for PATCH behaviors. Also will run our current compatibility test suite to identify any

Timeline

- Note taken on

Not totally sure I'll get a call to Osborne's in. I feel a little rocked off

my prioirties by the ADP bullshit. Long story short, the not working App tile

was a showstopper, despite the documentation mentioning that it's not

required. So I spent an awkward call pushing back on the fact that it clearly

does not work as designed by ADP or AppDirect, or whoever is responsible for

it.

- Note taken on

Checked on the ADP bookmark solution and, while it sucks, it does work.

Because ADP's bookmark solution is supposed to pass GET parameter information

to our redirect, that's how I set it up. But there's a fallback where we ask

for a subdomain. So it "works" but the UX is awful.

Journal

I've been spending a lot of time the last few weeks processing things with Emma

rather than journaling. One things that became abundantly clear was that my 1

with Amanda Powell and Sarah Powell has changed as a result of mom's death.

Maybe it had already changed but it just became more obvious. Amanda is talking

about buying the house instead of just selling it. The idea would be for it to

be a rental and investment property for them, while we'd still have a place in a

central location for family to hang out at. The reality, of course, is that

Amanda did not inherit mom's generosity gene, to the extent that they will be

unlikely to allow casual stop overs at their place to anyone who happens to be

around. Mom was always amazing at that. And so that property would be very

different in feel.

I still don't really care that much. But Emma and I have noted that we should

not consider it to be the same place when Amanda and Dirk own it. On top of

that, Sarah's work of finding a new place to live has taken a complete

back-burner to them trying to find a way to take on the mortgage and ownership

of the house. There's something almost dad-like in their dis-acknowledgment of

the difficulties Sarah faces in moving no, while worrying about their own

hilariously affluent troubles.

Anyhow, other than that things are going smoothly. We had Anne Romans over for

dinner last night for her 80th birthday. Seeing her was an absolute delight and

we talked about all manner of things like personality types and how to make

sense of the current state of affairs in Europe. When I first got back from the

public hearing on the traffic ordinance amendment, I was a little panicked and

stressed because I had to finish the mutton roast. But once I got through that I

was able to take time and really talk with Anne. It was delightful.
