Finally got some actual engineering work done this afternoon. One thing I

realized with bugs is that it's helpful to start with tests to try to recreate

the bug via a known case and then work backward.

Lost some time today to distractions like re-arranging my desk to use a single

monitor, and having to help Emma through trouble with the van. It turns out we

haven't gotten an oil change in a while and on her way into down (downtown,

thankfully) she lost power steering and some of the battery powered things

before the engine shutdown. Four quarts of oil later, hopefully the car is in

better shape, but who knows!

I've been doing a better job running tasks through org mode the last week or

so, and as a result actually feel pretty organized. The only exception is

Ariel's Ordination Ceremony for which I'm kinda feeling out of the loop a

little. I also woke up feeling guilty for not getting more Mathesar work done

over the weekend. But today is a new day and I just need to stay focused

enough to help.

Today is hazy again. The forest fires out West are causing pretty low air

quality these days. Yesterday was both hot and humid, with a wet bulb

temperatures close to 100. I feel like this year has brought home all the

climate change issues to Maine.
