Getting ready for Emma and Jane to leave for Phoenix tomorrow and it's going
pretty well. Jane had a dentist appointment today so the afternoon was a trial
run in me having just Silas and Kember for piano.
I also stopped in to coordinate my schedule with Nammy while Emma's gone.
They're going to take the kids on Wednesday and Thursday mornings so I can do
meetings and work. Beyond that it's mostly on me. I'll need to make sure Silas
and Kember make the bus, and on Wednesday get Asa to Wendy-Lous. In a strange
way I'm actually kind of excited about having some amount of executive control
over the day to day flow of the house. I love Emma, but usually things get done
her way. That's mostly because I don't care us much. But I do care.
I also had a really nice chat with Emma's parents about the kids, my trip to
California, and watching Mrs. Maisle. I was able to take my time and chat
because I then had to go pick the kids up from piano.
I'm also trying to clean up my day-page work flow. There's a lot of things that,
with time, have exposed themselves as not terribly useful. Tracking time is of
dubious use except at a broad level.
I still don't know the best way to track time. Perhaps I should go back to Pomodoro.
