00:15 Reboot
After a staycation from work, it's been nice slowly getting back into the swing of things. It's also amazing to watch how bold, and yet reckless Tony is around things he dones't understand. That's not to say that I think he's doing something wrong, but it's just different than how I approach things.
I also think I need to do a better job of working on side projects to keep my self sharp on the things I know well. There's a lot of value I think I can provide in the realm of independent library building, and service oriented things done right. And at the moment, with Tony not really knowing python, and Louis having mostly just worked at Elation, I'm finding a lot of best practices from elsewhere going by the boards.
Emma and I also had a delightful evening out at a French food and wine pairing evening at Watermark. Nammy and Bubba invited us along as their guests, ostensibly for our anniversary. We left Peter in charge of the kids, which worked pretty well, and I got pretty drunk, all things being what they are. We talked about the trip to Newfoundland, the kids in the Thai cave, France a whole bunch (go figure), and how work is going. It was a very fun evening.
Bedtime, when drunk, is interesting, to say the least. I was pretty chill with the kids, and they took forever to go down as a result. But all in all it was a very nice night.
